Small Grants Fund

This fund is set up to help Christians in Newham to fulfil their God-given vision who are not employed in full-time church work. This could be an informal group or a registered charity: either way the group needs to serve local people in some practical way.

 

Priority is given to those groups which want to go into new areas of social activity not covered by Christian endeavour at the moment. We particularly are looking for the delivery team to be Christians drawn from more than one congregation, and ideally more than one denomination. It is fine if one (or more) of the team is not in a church at present.

 

We will welcome applications from different-sized groups. We generally fund projects for a year. However, some projects could receive extended funding at the discretion of the trustees. We will consider things like equipment, room hire, publicity, registering as a charity (which costs about £800 through Stewardship Services), part time staff hours for the first few months. (Grant size £200 to £5,000)
