Prayer in the Workplace

These are individual Christians praying for their work colleagues. We hope to see workplace lighthouses networked across the borough in schools; the health authority, local government, business etc. Currently there are workplace prayer meetings at Newham General Hospital, Newham Borough Council, and in some secondary schools. Core Values for Work

1. We were created for work - Gen 2:15 (paid or unpaid).
2. Work has a value in its own right. Work is not an evil thing. Jesus worked.
3. Work is an act of worship (offering to God) Rom 12:1,2.
4. The promise of God's Presence, his Power and the gifts of the Holy
5. Spirit are just as real and valid in the work place as in the church.
6. Your job is a ministry as much as a Pastor's or a Missionary's.

Work is a place to serve, to be good news and bring the 'Good News' of the Kingdom, its values, Salvation and Transformation.
