Influence the Outcome

5 years to influence the outcome! Prayerfully generating a different atmosphere – God’s city!

We have a goal to aim at! 5 years to see transformation. So we are to continue to pray, engage with the community where God has placed us, influence as salt and light, taking the opportunities that God has given us and lead, generating change through taking the initiative.

We are to actively impact the borough through being salt and light.

 

Through our spheres of influence:

Streets – neighbours, local shops

Work place – education, business, government, service

Community – shops, schools, local government etc

Margins – those on our fringe – ex offenders, homeless, addicts, prostitutes etc

Leisure – where we socialise – sports, restaurants etc

Through the lifestyle manifesto of Luke 10 v 5 - 9:

Pray – intercession; praying for peace & blessing

Relate – be intentional in building relationships

Meet felt needs – prayer that releases the miraculousand through compassionate action

Host - visitors, possibly families of those participating in the games; outreach teams from other nations or parts of the U.K.

Serve – wherever needed.

Make the most of the opportunities that the occasion will provide. We realise a wide variety of creative outreach has been used at previous games. Under the banner ‘More than Gold’ – pin swapping, servant opportunities (showing God’s love in a practical way), worship in the open, using the media and arts, evangelistic rallies, prayer booths, acting as chaplains, distribution of bibles and literature – all of these are possibilities open to us in partnership with other churches and agencies

 

We will endeavour to see that the Kingdom legacy continues.
