There is a new call of God for us to pray as one church here in Newham in order to see the spiritual climate change in this borough through prayer.
Over 50 churches in Newham are committed to this process of praying through the borough. This number is set to expand and at present leaders are meeting weekly to pray together and congregations are coming together for regular prayer events at borough and area level.
The vision is simply that leaders of the churches in a given area should come together in true unity and with a borough wide vision, repenting and being reconciled over past differences; that all Christians should then flow together in unity and prayer to see the darkness driven back and men and women able then to respond to the Gospel and come to faith in Christ. The mechanism is a unity amongst the churches, a blanketing of the borough with prayer, with acts of kindness being shown to the community and various forms of mission, resultant in seeing the spiritual climate of the area change – in fact the borough transformed.
What Transform Newham does
Transform Newham enables Christians to come together in various workplace spheres including health, education, local government, business, and youth work to pray and to share ideas, resources and expertise.
We believe that it is only through faith in God that true transformational change can be achieved. Transform Newham has the plans and resources in place to help Christians to make a greater impact and we believe that by working together our churches can fulfil God's vision to transform the lives, communities and workplaces of people throughout Newham.
