“Ultimate Dream” Talent Showcase
(aka “Newham Churches have got talent!”)
Saturday 9th July 2011, from 12 noon at St. John’s, Stratford E15 1NG
We’re looking for acts to perform in St. John’s Churchyard to visitors to Stratford during the Olympic Games in 2012. We’re having a preliminary Talent Show to showcase the talent in Newham’s Churches with a view to organising the acts that will perform in 2012.
Like Britain’s Got Talent, we’re open to any acts whether music (solos, groups, choirs), dance, spoken word or anything else suitable for open-air performance in a Christian environment. Each Act should be no longer than 7 minutes on this occasion.

St. John’s will provide a drum kit, keyboard, basic sound system with fold-back (max 3 mics) + inputs for guitar + any other electric/or electro-accoustic instruments.
For backing tracks you can bring a CD or music in an MP3 format.

Please note that there will be a sound check at 11am on Saturday 9th July and the event will start promptly at 12 noon. As part of the event there will be short presentations of the Christian message to encourage us to think about our faith.
